Thick Strawberry Greek Yogurt Smoothie - Creamy, Cold, and Satisfying

Prep Time 5 minutes
Total Time 5 minutes
Servings 2 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups frozen strawberries (whole or sliced)
  • 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt (2% or whole milk for extra creaminess)
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or unsweetened almond/oat milk)
  • 1–2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup (optional, to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional but lovely)
  • Pinch of salt (tiny pinch to enhance flavor)
  • Optional add-ins: 1 tablespoon chia seeds or ground flax, 1/2 banana, or a scoop of vanilla protein powder

Instructions

  • Add the milk to the blender first, followed by Greek yogurt, then frozen strawberries. Top with honey, vanilla, and a pinch of salt.
  • Blend on low to start, then increase to high. Use a tamper if you have one, or stop and scrape down the sides as needed.
  • If the mixture is too thick to blend, add 1–2 tablespoons of milk at a time until it catches and spins smoothly.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness. Add honey for more sweetness or a couple more strawberries for a stronger berry flavor.
  • Blend until very smooth and thick. Pour into a chilled glass. For extra thickness, let it sit 1–2 minutes—Greek yogurt will help it set slightly.
